RATES
My proofreading rate is $0.012 per word, which comes out to approximately $3.00 per page (standard, double-spaced, 250-word page).
Please note that this rate may vary depending on project scope, complexity, required turnaround time, and other factors. This is why I don't quote prices without first seeing a project sample (please see Next Steps section below for more details).
My copy editing rate is anywhere between $0.02 and $0.040 per word and is also contingent upon several factors, such as genre, scope, complexity, turnaround time, etc. I won't quote the price without first seeing a sample of the project (please see Next Steps section below for more details).
If you have a question that has not been addressed in this or any other section on my website, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

NEXT STEPS
After you've identified the appropriate service/services needed for your project, please contact me with info on your project type (e.g. blog, website content, marketing, creative fiction/nonfiction), scope (i.e. word or page count), whether you want me to refer to a particular style guide or have a style guide/style sheets of your own (I use the Chicago Manual or AP unless otherwise agreed upon), and your required turnaround time.
I may request a sample of your content to ensure we are on the same page as to the level of service needed (proofreading, copy editing, or both). Upon agreement as to the type of service needed, pricing, and turnaround time, I will send you an official contract.
Once you've signed the contract and sent me the project in Word format (I use MS Word Track Changes) or via Google Docs, I will begin my work. You can rest assured that if any issues arise, I will notify you in a timely manner, keeping the lines of communication open at all times.
Upon completion of the project, I will send you the edited file (if it's a Word document) and you will either accept or reject the changes. I will also send you a clean document with all of my corrections. If the file is in Google Docs, I will let you know when I've completed the project, and you will either accept or reject my corrections. And voila—your writing is all set for publication!
This is a quick and easy process for you, even if you've never approved/rejected changes in an edited document in MS Word. And I am always here to help and answer all of your questions.
